Louis Leclair became Transit’s President in 2005. As President, Louis spends his time setting corporate goals, maintaining Transit’s leadership position in the market and investigating new ways to innovate truck bodies.
He is truly passionate about truck bodies and the company, and is always keeping in touch with customers to ensure that Transit delivers on its promise of outstanding customer service. Since Louis started working at Transit in 1987, he has held a series of positions, starting in sales and working his way up to General Manager and finally President. These positions have allowed him to develop a keen understanding of the company as a whole and to embrace the public relations aspect of his current role. His eternal optimism and sense of humor have allowed him to become a « hands-on » President whose door is always open.
When not dreaming about trucks, Louis’ top 3 dreams are to get a hole in one, amass a large sports car collection (only in red) and see his daughters join the Transit team… not necessarily in that order.
As Transit’s Director of Sales, Christian Lanthier manages the sales team and helps drive the company’s market expansion. He plays an integral role in ensuring that not only are all customers’ requirements met but also that their expectations are surpassed. Christian spent several years in senior sales positions in the transport business.
Christian holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University. He is an animal lover with a special fondness for horses. When not riding horses, he can be found riding anything that runs on gas.
As a Senior Director, Supply Chain, Maintenance and ESG, Joël Chandonnet is responsible for managing production planning and all aspects of purchasing. He is the point of contact for all suppliers and negotiates pricing and other contractual details. Joël joined the company in 2008 after having held similar positions.
He attended the University of Montreal’s business school and graduated with a Bachelor degree specializing in production operations management. Joël is an adventurer whose accomplishments include climbing Machu Picchu, running marathons, playing the piano and perfecting the ultimate risotto.
Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development since 2022, Sylvie's mandate is to bring Transit's values to life to make it an employer of choice. She ensures that HR practices, through clear communications, drive positive results on employee engagement and organizational performance.
Sylvie has a bachelor's degree in human resources management from the University of Montreal's business school. Passionate about people and culture, Sylvie has worked for more than 20 years in the field of human resources in a manufacturing context.
Sylvie is eternally curious and has a great interest in arts, culture, cooking, music, reading and travel. To stay zen, she likes to walk the trails every day with her walking companion, Mr. Brandy (a 5-year-old Golden Doodle).
Mircea joined the Transit team in 2020. As Engineering and R&D Director, he is responsible for managing these two departments, in addition to contributing to the various projects of continuous improvement of the company.
With two bachelor's degrees and a master's degree in engineering, Mircea has over 20 years of experience in various types of positions in the field of engineering.
Mircea also has a full-time job as a father, where his main responsibilities are to shuttle his children to many sports activities. Himself a great sportsman, he loves skiing and biking. Passionate about traveling, Mircea enjoys discovering new places and new cultures. When not traveling, he takes the opportunity to escape by reading books.
Jean Frederic Thibodeau is the Director of Parts and Service. In this role, he is responsible for customer service as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the Parts and Service department. Jean Frederic has a real zest for life and this passion can be seen in the way he deals with his clientele, always ensuring that his customers experience total satisfaction.Jean Frederic has been with Transit since 1996.
Jean Frederic holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Montreal - Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC). When he is not satisfying his customers, he is making his friends and family happy by whipping up gourmet meals worthy of at least a few Michelin stars.
Employed by Transit Truck Bodies since 2016, Marc-André Mainville has evolved through the organization by occupying various roles, and has progressed all the way up to production director. He works closely with the management team, supervisors, team leaders and various trades to provide excellent service, to both internal and external customers.
Aerospace machinist by trade, Marc-André has developed a passion for management over the years. Constantly looking for improvements, Marc-André is currently completing his Black Belt Lean Six Sigma training in order to perfect his knowledge for Lean Manufacturing.
It was through several years of elite hockey, which he practiced from an early age, that Marc-André developed his sense of leadership. Passionate about sports, music and the outdoors, he takes advantage of all his free time to practice his activities.
This hard worker is transported by victory. Whether in sports or in everyday life, he constantly seeks to win or improve.
As Financial Director, Jonathan Aubry oversees the Finance team, including accounting and payroll activities, and ensures compliance with applicable standards. He is responsible for accurately representing the portrait of the company through the production of financial reports, which allow senior management to make informed decisions, and thus ensure the sustainability of the company. He is also responsible for setting up budgets stemming from strategic plans, cash flow and performance indicators.
Jonathan joined the Transit team in 2016 and held various positions which allowed him to join the management team at the end of 2019. He is a graduate of Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, accounting profile, and holds the title of the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréés (CPA).
Jonathan is a person who thirsts for adventure, constantly looking for challenges and personal growth. In his spare time, you can find him running a marathon as well as parachuting or climbing mountains.
